On Thursday, September 10, in Argentina, Renault unveiled Renault Niagara, marking a major new milestone for the brand.
Renault Niagara: the comfort of an SUV & the robust strength of a pick-up designed for Latin America
Niagara opens a new chapter in Renault’s expansion into Latin America. Part of the futuREady strategy, it marks the start of an offensive involving 14 new models for international markets.
Redefining the cues of pick-up design, Niagara combines the refinement, comfort and technology of a C-segment SUV with the robust strength and versatility of a vehicle designed for the most demanding types of use. Its styling conveys a strong sense of identity, fusing an urban focus with all-terrain capabilities.
Assembled at the Santa Isabel plant in Argentina, Niagara is the only pick-up in its class to be built locally.

“Niagara is the first pillar of the futuREady strategy, implementing our goal of launching 14 new models on international markets by 2030. The RGMP pick-up platform will also provide the basis for a hybrid powertrain at a later date. This will also contribute to our ambition to include 50% of electrified models in our international range by 2030. Designed, engineered and built entirely in Latin America, Niagara carries the DNA of the Renault brand: bold, robust styling; a comfortable interior with ingenious storage solutions; and in-car technology worthy of an SUV, including OpenR link with Google built-in. I would like to thank the entire Renault team in Latin America for their collective commitment to this inspiring project.”
“The Niagara project is all about versatility. It’s a vehicle that goes beyond the traditional idea of a workhorse pick-up. It also seeks to be a lifestyle, upmarket vehicle. True to brand DNA, Niagara offers outstanding space at the rear, along with ingenious storage solutions in the centre console and behind the rear seats: every part of the interior has been optimised. The cabin design is particularly well thought-out, with the perceived quality and comfort of an SUV.”
